Simranjit has trained teachers in government schools across Chandigarh and other states on competency-based education. She has developed international-level assessments and created CBSE content, including lesson plans, assessments, and presentations. Her experience also includes serving as the head of the Mathematics department and as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in reputed institutes.
She is an accomplished psychologist with a Ph.D. in Positive Psychology from Panjab University. She has demonstrated academic excellence by clearing UGC-NET and GATE exams. She has been relentlessly contributing to research as an assistant editor of a UGC CARE listed journal since 2019. She is also a merit holder of Post M.A. Diploma in Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her 7 plus years of education and expertise has been utilized by rendering counselling and psychotherapy. Her areas of expertise include psychometric testing, career counselling, behavioural counselling, marital and couple counselling, grief and trauma counselling, Client Centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. She has spent 300+ hours working as a counsellor at prestigious institutions such as Jawhar Navodaya Vidyalala, Chandigarh, Chitkara International School, SGGS Collegiate Public School and Army Public School, Pathankot.
As an extensive researcher, she has made substantial contributions to the field of adolescent mental health. Her work on Character Strengths of Adolescents is an eye opener to various stakeholders and policymakers in the field of education. Dr. Gugnani has published 5 papers in UGC CARE-listed journals and presented at more than 11 papers at various national and international conferences.
Her dedication to the field of psychology has been carried out through workshops on resilience, mindfulness, stress- management, and personality development.
